Masterfully Handling Surety Claims
SAN DIEGO, California – July 31, 2014. Susan Karlan, Vice President of On Point Risk Solutions, will serve as part of the faculty that discusses surety claims handling, during the National Association of Surety Bond Producers’ (NASBP) William J. Angell Surety School, August 6, 2014 in San Diego. Karlan will instruct level two professionals on:
- Various claims against surety bonds
- Identifying the role of the producer in surety claims situation
- Understanding the role of the Surety
The surety claims module is part of the level two curriculum, and is intended for bond producers, underwriters and account managers with up to six years of experience. Other modules include ethics, commercial surety and cash flow management. With more than 5,000 surety agents and brokers, the NASBP is the association of, and resource for, surety bond producers and allied professionals.
Ms. Karlan is also Vice President of Surety at ICW Group. She is an active member of the Surety and Fidelity Association of America, National Association of Independent Sureties, Surety Claims Institute, and Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Surety and Fidelity Law committee.
